Penguatan Psychological Well-Being Anak dengan ADHD melalui Dukungan Lingkungan Sekolah dan Keluarga: Studi Kasus di MI Bahrul Ulum
Abstract
This study aims to examine the psychological well-being of a child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Grade 2 at MI Bahrul Ulum. Children with ADHD have specific needs that require support from both the school and family environments to facilitate their optimal development. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving a Grade 2 student, the classroom teacher, and the student's parents. The findings indicate that the psychological well-being of the child with ADHD at MI Bahrul Ulum is influenced by four main factors: (1) teacher support through attention and individualized approaches, (2) peer acceptance in the classroom, (3) a comfortable and conducive learning environment, and (4) parental involvement in supporting the child at home. The child demonstrated improvement in self-confidence and social interaction, although difficulties in maintaining attention and controlling impulses remained. The study concludes that an inclusive school environment and appropriate support can contribute to improving the psychological well-being of children with ADHD in Grade 2 at MI Bahrul Ulum.
