Analisis Gender terhadap Krisis Ekologi di Kawasan Pegunungan Kendeng Kabupaten Pati
Abstract
The ecological crisis in the Kendeng Mountains is one of the impacts of natural resource exploitation driven by economic interests. This condition not only causes environmental damage but also and patriarchy reinforce each other in the process of natural exploitation and marginalization of women in decision-making. On the other hand, Kendeng women play an active role in the demonstrates the link between capitalism and patriarchy, which influence natural resource management and the position of women in society. This study aims to analyze the relationship between patriarchy, capitalism, and natural exploitation in the ecological crisis in the Kendeng Mountains and examine its impact on women's lives and the forms of resistance carried out by women in the Kendeng Mountains in fighting for ecological justice. The method used is a literature study (library research). The results indicate that cement and mining industries in the Kendeng Mountains have the potential to threaten water sources, degrade environmental quality, and reduce community agricultural productivity. In addition, capilism, and patriarchy, reinforce each other in the process of natural exploitation and marginalization of women in decision-making. On the other hand, Kendeng women play an active role in the environmental resistance movement through collective action, legal advocacy, and social campaigns in an effort to fight for ecological justice and gender equality. This study confirms that the ecological crisis in Kendeng is not only an environmental issue, but also an issue of social and gender justice.
