<p>The development of digital media has transformed the distribution and consumption of information in society, but it has also raised concerns regarding accuracy and balance in news content. In this context, public broadcasting institutions play an important role as independent information providers oriented toward the public interest. This study aims to analyze the role of Radio Republik Indonesia Purwokerto as a public media institution in accommodating and voicing the aspirations of the Banyumas community in the digital era. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with journalists, participatory observation during an internship program, documentation of broadcast archives, and interviews with community members featured in news reports. The findings show that Radio Republik Indonesia Purwokerto implements its public service function by delivering public-oriented information, providing participatory spaces through interactive programs, and highlighting local socio-economic issues. Editorial processes are conducted systematically through issue selection and news verification to ensure accuracy and balance. Digital transformation has expanded broadcast reach without shifting its public service mandate. <p><em>This study aims to analyze how feminist narratives are constructed through the Instagram content of @mubadalah.id during September 2025. The account was selected because of its consistent engagement with gender equality issues grounded in Islamic values. The research employs a qualitative approach with Pan & Kosicki’s framing analysis model, encompassing syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical structures. The unit of analysis consists of Instagram feed posts in September 2025, focusing on 4 posts explicitly addressing gender equality. The findings reveal that feminist framing in @mubadalah.id is consistently highlighting gender inequality, shifting the focus from biased narratives toward the recognition of women as active subjects, and combining rhetorical strategies that employ emotion (pathos), data and religious legitimacy (logos), as well as moral authority (ethos). This study contributes to media, communication, and gender studies by demonstrating how Instagram serves as a significant digital da’wah arena that integrates religious interpretation with gender equality narratives in a popular communication format.</em></p>Serin Himatus SorayaSri Mulyani

<p>This study analyzes the da'wah pattern of Maulana Malik Ibrahim in Gresik by locating his religious communication within the port-city society of fourteenth-century East Java. The research responds to a gap in previous studies that commonly discuss Walisongo in general or emphasize only trade and pesantren education, while the integrated pattern of Maulana Malik Ibrahim's da'wah in Gresik remains insufficiently mapped. Using a qualitative historical-documentary method, this article examines 28 substantive sources consisting of journal articles, historical books, translated chronicles, and relevant academic documents. Data were analyzed through source criticism, open coding, axial coding, and thematic synthesis, following qualitative reporting standards. The findings show six interrelated patterns: cultural accommodation, pesantren-based education, moral exemplarity, social service, maritime-trade interaction, and elite-network communication. The most frequent themes in the coded corpus are cultural accommodation (67.9%) and pesantren education (57.1%). The study concludes that Maulana Malik Ibrahim's da'wah was not a single preaching technique but an adaptive, humane, and institutional model that transformed religious acceptance into community formation.</p>Yusriyah Rizqi

<p>This study examines the discourse on women in the talk show program Curahan Hati Perempuan, which features women’s personal issues as the main theme of the television broadcast. This program is of interest for research because it represents women’s lives through domestic conflicts, gender relations, and domestic issues packaged for public consumption. The program is suspected of objectifying women and treating them as media commodities for the sake of ratings and media capitalism. This study aims to analyze the construction of women’s discourse in the Curahan Hati Perempuan program using Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis approach. The research method employed is qualitative research utilizing text and scene analysis techniques within the Curahan Hati Perempuan broadcast. Data were analyzed through the dimensions of text, discursive practices, and social practices to understand the representation of women in television media. The results of the study reveal three main findings: gender discourse from an Islamic perspective, the construction of women as mothers and wives, and the representation of negative femininity. This program continues to reproduce patriarchal culture and gender bias through its themes and narratives. <p>Webtoon is a digital comic platform and has become a very popular entertainment medium among teenagers today. The comic Dorm Du is interesting to study because it features Muslim characters who consistently practice Islam in the midst of an unfamiliar black dormitory environment. This study aims to identify and interpret in depth how fundamental Islamic values (aqidah, sharia, and akhlak) are represented through visual and verbal signs in the comic. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Primary data in the form of scene excerpts from six episodes (3, 9, 11, 12, 24, and 25) were collected through observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis uses Roland Barthes' Semiotics, dissecting meaning into three levels: denotation, connotation, and myth. Data validity is ensured through source triangulation, increased diligence, and peer validation. The results of the study show that the Dorm Du comic represents Islamic values. Faith is represented as trust in God, which is implemented in prayer and the refusal to remove the hijab. Sharia is represented as a non-compromising principle of life, such as being firm in one's stance and refusing physical contact with non-mahrams. Akhlak is represented as a manifestation of true faith in terms of helping others and being a good friend. The Dorm Du comic serves as an effective contemporary medium for da'wah, naturalizing Islamic values into popular narratives so that religious messages can be conveyed in a light and relevant manner to young audiences.</p>Nada Hikmatul IlmiFavi Aditya IkhsanHeri Setiawan

<p>The popularity of K-dramas in Indonesia is increasing because they present interesting, emotional, and meaningful storylines. One group that is a loyal fan of K-dramas is Muslim women generation Z, namely Muslim women born between 1997 and 2012. Muslim women Gen Z have wide access to various online viewing platforms and are adept at utilizing technology for entertainment and information needs. The purpose of this journal is to find out the reasons why Muslim women gen Z watch K-dramas and then analyze them using James S. Coleman's rational choice theory. The method used is a qualitative method with data collection in the form of literature studies, namely reviewing written sources such as journals and books and using interview techniques to gather information related to the reasons why Muslim women gen Z watch K-dramas. The results, the reasons why Muslim women gen Z watch K-dramas are for entertainment as a stress reliever, interested in Korean culture and visualization of Korean people and as a medium for education and self-reflection. In conclusion, Gen Z Muslim women's choice to watch K-Drama is the result of rational consideration of the benefits obtained, such as quality entertainment, cultural insight, and life values that can be internalized, so that it is in line with the concept of rational choice theory which emphasizes actions based on logical and conscious calculations of profit and loss.</p>Indah Puspita Sari

<p>Sri Asih is an Indonesian superhero film that presents heroic narratives embedded with moral, social, and spiritual values relevant to contemporary da'wah. This study aims to analyze the da'wah values contained in the heroic narrative of Sri Asih and to identify how da'wah messages are conveyed through characters, conflicts, and plot development. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. Primary data were obtained from the film Sri Asih (2022), while secondary data were collected from relevant literature on da'wah communication, film narratives, and popular media. Data collection techniques included documentation, observation of dialogues and scenes, and literature review. The findings reveal that the film conveys da'wah messages implicitly through the heroic journey of Alana, the main character. The identified da'wah values include self-control, courage in upholding justice, respect for women, moral responsibility, and the spirit of amar ma’ruf nahi munkar (promoting good and preventing wrongdoing). These messages are communicated through narrative and symbolic approaches that resonate with younger audiences.
